LBI NJ Guide ("we", "us") is a free visitor guide for Long Beach Island, New Jersey, available at lbinjguide.com and as a mobile app. The mobile app is a packaged version of this website, and this policy covers both.
You can use LBI NJ Guide without creating an account and without giving us any personal information. We do not use advertising trackers, we do not sell personal data, and we do not track you across other websites or apps.
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to understand overall usage (for example, how many people viewed the Beaches page). Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect or store personal information; data is aggregated and anonymous.
If you choose to sign up for our email updates, your email address is collected and managed by beehiiv, our newsletter provider, and used only to send you the emails you signed up for. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
If you choose to submit our "Stay & Buy" inquiry form, the information you enter (name, email, phone, timeframe) is transmitted securely and delivered to us by email so we can respond to your inquiry. We use Resend to deliver these messages. We use this information only to follow up on your inquiry and do not sell it or add you to marketing lists without your consent.
Your choices in the app (such as your town and arrival day from the "Just arrived?" setup) are stored locally on your own device so the app can personalize what you see. This information never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser or app data.
Conditions shown in the app (tides, surf, water temperature, weather, rip-current risk) come from public NOAA and National Weather Service feeds. Requesting this data does not involve sending us any personal information.
You can ask us to delete any personal information we hold about you at any time. Because the only personal information we ever store is what you choose to give us, here is how deletion works for each case:
To request deletion of anything we hold, email [email protected] with the word "Delete" and the email address or phone number you used. We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.
LBI NJ Guide is a general-audience service and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
